Antony Commits To Manchester United Amid Fenerbahce Interest

Antony decides to stay at man utd

Manchester United winger Antony has reaffirmed his commitment to the club, despite interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho.

With only one minute of playing time in the first three Premier League games, Antony is eager to feature more regularly, but his preference is to stay at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, United is taking a cautious approach with Rasmus Højlund‘s injury rehabilitation.

The Danish striker suffered a hamstring injury in July and is expected to be out for longer than the initial six-week timeframe.

The club is prioritizing his recovery to avoid a repeat of last season’s injury problems.

United’s current injury crisis has seen Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelöf, and Leny Yoro sidelined, contributing to their slow start to the season.

With two losses in their first three games, including a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, Erik ten Hag‘s team is looking for solutions.

In Højlund’s absence, Ten Hag has experimented with midfielder Bruno Fernandes as a false No.9 and handed Joshua Zirkzee his full debut against Liverpool.

Zirkzee’s impressive performance for Netherlands in the Nations League has boosted his chances of featuring more prominently for United.

As the transfer window for Turkish clubs remains open until Friday, Fenerbahce may still make a formal offer for Antony.

However, United’s reluctance to lose the 24-year-old, combined with Antony’s own desire to stay, suggests that he will remain at Old Trafford.
