Odegaard’s ankle injury: Arsenal star returns for further assessment amid fears of lengthy layoff.
The 25-year-old is set to return to Arsenal today for a comprehensive evaluation of his ankle injury, sustained during Norway’s Nations League clash against Austria on Monday.
Odegaard was forced off the pitch after a challenge caused his ankle to twist, sparking concerns of a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
Norway manager Stale Solbakken described the injury as “looking bad,” and Odegaard was spotted on crutches Tuesday morning as he boarded a private jet from Oslo to London.

According to Norway doctor Ola Sand, Arsenal will conduct scans to determine the severity of the issue.
“He is on his way to London and will have an MRI there later today,” Sand told VG.
When asked for an initial assessment, Sand said: “Nothing but a strong overstepping and that we await what Arsenal find.”
The Gunners are anxiously awaiting the assessment results, as they face a critical run of fixtures after the international break,
including a north London derby against Tottenham, a Champions League match against Atalanta, and a showdown with Manchester City.
With Declan Rice suspended and Mikel Merino nursing a shoulder injury, Arsenal’s midfield options are already depleted, making Odegaard’s potential absence a significant concern.
