Kylian Mbappé expressed his primary focus on Real Madrid securing the LaLiga title rather than personal accolades after delivering a sensational hat-trick in the team’s 3-0 victory against Real Valladolid on Saturday.
The performance marked his first treble for the club and highlighted his critical role in Madrid’s pursuit of glory.
The French superstar opened the scoring in the 30th minute following a sharp one-two combination with Jude Bellingham.
He doubled his tally in the 57th minute before capping off the night with a penalty during stoppage time.

This commanding performance ensured Real Madrid stayed atop the LaLiga standings with 49 points, extending their lead to four over second-placed Atlético Madrid, who earlier drew 1-1 against Villarreal.
“I’m happy with the hat trick, but I’m more happy with the win,” Mbappé told Real Madrid TV.
“It was very important to win today. After Atleti’s result, there was more pressure.”
Mbappé’s Hot Streak and Team Dynamics
With 15 league goals this season and 22 across all competitions, Mbappé is in scintillating form, having scored eight goals in his last five matches.
However, the forward remains grounded, emphasizing collective success over personal milestones.
Earlier this week, his teammates Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo pledged to support Mbappé in his quest to become LaLiga’s top scorer, commonly known as the Pichichi.
“Rodrygo and I are going to do all that we can for Mbappé to be top scorer in every competition, because that’s why he came here,” Vinícius said.
Mbappé responded with humility after the Valladolid game, stating,
“That’s nice, but I could say I need to help them too. We all want the team to win. If I’m top scorer, great – I’ve done it a lot of times in my career – but winning the league is the most important thing for me.”
Carlo Ancelotti Praises Mbappé’s Versatility
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti hailed Mbappé as “the best centre-forward in the world” last weekend, underlining his seamless adaptation to the team.
“I said the first day here that I can play in all three positions in attack,” Mbappé noted.
“My adaptation is over for sure. I feel good, with my movements, and my teammates, you can see it on the pitch.”
Ancelotti echoed the sentiment in his post-match conference, praising the striker’s impact.
“[Mbappé] has been playing well for a while. He scored three goals for the first time. He’s contributing a lot. He found his rhythm a couple of months ago. It’s a plus for us. He’s a player who has a lot of quality.”
Mbappé’s hat-trick at Valladolid not only showcased his individual brilliance but also reaffirmed his commitment to Real Madrid’s team-first ethos. With the forward in peak form and his focus firmly on winning the league, Los Blancos appear well-positioned to achieve their title ambitions this season.
