AS Roma have officially announced the appointment of Ivan Juric as the club’s new manager, marking a significant change in leadership following Daniele De Rossi’s departure.
Juric succeeds De Rossi, who was dismissed after just seven months in charge due to a winless start to the Serie A campaign.
The 49-year-old Croatian manager has signed a deal until the end of the 2024-25 season, with a reported option for extension should Roma qualify for next season’s Champions League.
This performance-based clause underscores the club’s ambition to return to European competition.
Juric boasts an impressive managerial resume, having led Crotone to Serie A promotion in the 2015-16 campaign.
He has also managed Genoa and Verona in the Italian top flight and spent three years in charge of Torino, departing at the end of last season.
Notably, Juric becomes the first Croatian to manage Roma, bringing his tactical expertise and experience to the Giallorssi.

Juric took training for the first time on Wednesday and will take charge of Roma for the first time on Sunday, when they host Udinese at Stadio Olimpico.
The match presents an opportunity for the new manager to make a positive impact and steer the team towards a much-needed victory.
Roma’s hierarchy expressed confidence in Juric’s ability to turn the season around, citing his “proven track record” and “tactical acumen.”
With Juric at the helm, Roma seeks to revitalize their season and make a push for European qualification.
“Daniele De Rossi has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the first team,” Roma said in a statement.
“The club’s decision is made in the best interests of the team, to get back on the desired path as soon as possible at a time when the season is still in its early stages.”
Juric’s managerial record stands at 144 wins, 73 draws, and 93 losses.
His experience and leadership will be crucial in determining the team’s trajectory.
As Roma prepare to face Udinese, fans will be eager to see tactical adjustments, player selections, and inspirational leadership to boost team morale.
With a new manager in place, Roma’s focus shifts to securing a top-four finish and returning to the Champions League.
