Chelsea Desperate To Offload Five Stars To Meet Transfer Deadline

Chelsea set to offload players

Chelsea’s summer clear-out continues: five more players to go.

Chelsea are pushing to offload five more players across Europe as they strive to achieve a zero net spend by the end of the summer transfer window.

Despite the Premier League window closing on Friday, the Blues have continued to trim their squad, selling Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel to Al-Nassr for £19million on Tuesday.

The sale of Gabriel brings Chelsea’s total outgoing transfer business to £189million, with £208m spent on new arrivals like Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall.

With transfer windows still open in Turkey, Greece, and Belgium, Chelsea hope to reach their zero net spend goal in the coming days.

According to The Evening Standard, Ben Chilwell, David Datro Fofana, Harvey Vale, Alex Matos, and Deivid Washington are among the players who could still be offloaded.

Chilwell, frozen out of the first-team by Enzo Maresca, is likely to join a Turkish club on loan.

Fofana, who has made just three appearances for Chelsea, may also leave, along with Brazilian forward Washington.

Vale, who was close to joining Al-Ettifaq in August, may still find a new club, while Matos’ future remains uncertain.

Chelsea’s biggest sales this summer include Conor Gallagher (£35.6m) and Ian Maatsen (£38m) to Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa, respectively, as well as Romelu Lukaku‘s (£28m) move to Napoli.

The Blues are determined to balance their books and achieve a zero net spend by the end of the summer, and the departure of these five players could be crucial in achieving that goal.
