Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Encourages Bukayo Saka To Take A Well-Deserved Break

Arteta urge bukayo saka to rest

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has advised Bukayo Saka to take a much-needed holiday as he recovers from a hamstring injury that sidelined him last month.

The 22-year-old winger is not expected to return to action until at least March, marking the first significant injury of his career.

Saka, known for his consistent performances for both Arsenal and England, has been a vital part of the team.

Before this setback, he logged over 6,000 Premier League minutes across the past two seasons, showcasing his incredible work rate and durability.

Despite his injury, Saka remains actively involved with the squad. He was spotted at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, supporting his teammates during Arsenal’s victory in the North London Derby.

However, Arteta believes this period presents a unique opportunity for Saka to recharge mentally and physically.

Arteta Stresses the Importance of Rest

“He needs to,” Arteta said about Saka taking a holiday.

“He is obligated to go – whether it’s with his girlfriend, his family, or even alone. He needs a few days to refresh and recharge.

“This stage of rehab is perfect for him to take a break. It will not only help him physically but also mentally.

He’s been so consistent and dedicated, and we must take care of our players.”

Arteta emphasized that Saka hasn’t had any substantial time off over the past two seasons.

This rare opportunity allows him to reconnect with his loved ones and focus on aspects of his life beyond football.

The Road to Recovery

While Saka continues his rehabilitation, Arteta assured fans that the young star remains fully committed to his recovery.

“He’s been at the training ground every day. But with us being away for a few days, it’s crucial he takes this moment to rest and recuperate.”

Saka’s commitment and talent have made him a cornerstone of Arsenal’s success.

Ensuring his well-being is a priority for Arteta and the club as they prepare for the latter stages of the season.

This downtime could prove invaluable for Saka, both in terms of his recovery and maintaining his longevity in football.
