Tomas Rosicky Addresses Arsenal Sporting Director Links: No Offer Received Yet

Tomas Rosicky eye on Arsenal Sports Director

Former Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has revealed that while he is on the Gunners’ radar for their vacant sporting director role, he has yet to receive a formal offer from the club.

Arsenal have been searching for a new sporting director since Edu’s departure in early November. Following Edu’s exit, his former assistant, Jason Ayto, has taken over as the interim sporting director.

The North London club has been linked with several potential candidates over the past few months. Alongside Ayto, names such as Andrea Berta, Dan Ashworth, Roberto Olabe, and Thiago Scuro have all been touted for the position.

Rosicky, currently the sporting director at Sparta Prague, has emerged as a potential contender due to his strong ties to Arsenal.

The 44-year-old Czech spent a decade at the club as a player, making nearly 250 appearances and earning admiration from fans and management alike.

Despite the speculation, Rosicky confirmed that no concrete offer has come his way.

He said:

“My connection with Arsenal is natural because I spent 10 years there, and when you spend 10 years somewhere, you form a very strong bond.

I have this strong bond with Arsenal and also with Sparta Prague. Those are the two clubs I love football-wise because of the warm relationship I have with them.”

“I am honoured by the fact that I am even being considered by Arsenal’s management, but I can say that I don’t have any offer to go to Arsenal.”

“As I mentioned before, I’m aware that I’m on their radar or that I figure in their considerations in some capacity, but I haven’t received any offer.”

Arsenal’s Sporting Director Hunt Continues

With Rosicky ruling out an imminent move, Arsenal’s hunt for a new sporting director remains open. As the Gunners push forward with their plans, fans will be eager to see who takes on the crucial role to help guide the club’s future ambitions.
