Paul Pogba and Juventus have mutually agreed to terminate the midfielder’s contract, marking the end of a turbulent chapter for the Frenchman.
This decision comes as Pogba gears up for his highly anticipated return to football following a doping ban.
The 31-year-old midfielder’s second stint with the Serie A club was riddled with injuries and off-field controversies, culminating in his suspension for a doping violation.
However, after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, his initial four-year ban was reduced to 18 months, allowing Pogba to resume training in January 2025 and return to competitive play by March.

Future Prospects for Pogba
As Pogba prepares for his comeback, he is expected to draw interest from top European clubs, as well as teams in Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer (MLS).
The World Cup winner, who last played for Juventus in September 2023, remains a significant figure in football despite recent challenges.
The Doping Case: A Quick Recap
Pogba’s suspension stemmed from a positive test for Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) after Juventus’ 3-0 win over Udinese on August 20, 2023.
While anti-doping prosecutors initially pushed for a four-year ban, Pogba successfully reduced the suspension by proving he unknowingly consumed the banned substance.
With his Juventus chapter closed, Pogba now looks forward to a fresh start and the opportunity to rekindle his career.
Football fans worldwide will be watching closely as he begins the next phase of his journey.
