Harry Kane Eyes Cristiano Ronaldo’s Greatness For Success

Harry kane eyes Ronaldo success

Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane has identified Cristiano Ronaldo as the ultimate benchmark for longevity in football, confessing his desire to emulate the Portuguese legend’s remarkable career trajectory.

Ronaldo’s recent 900th career goal, scored in Portugal’s 2-1 Nations League victory over Croatia, served as a poignant reminder of his enduring excellence.

The 39-year-old’s trophy-laden career, spanning multiple continents and clubs, has set a new standard for consistency and success.

Kane, 31, has yet to replicate Ronaldo’s team triumphs, despite his impressive individual accolades.

However, the Bayern Munich forward is determined to follow in Ronaldo’s footsteps, acknowledging the five-time Ballon d’Or winner as his inspiration.

His ambition, however, extends far beyond personal milestones, with a burning desire to match Ronaldo’s sustained brilliance and trophy-winning pedigree.

Kane said:

“Cristiano is the benchmark, not only being one of the best footballers ever, but also the benchmark of how long you can play for at a higher level.”

“I feel in a really good place, both physically and mentally.

I’m sure there will be noise around me, like there was around Cristiano – and there still is around Cristiano – but as long as you keep performing and keep doing what you know you can, that’s all you can do.

“The Ronaldos, the Messis, the Benzemas, the Lewandowskis, almost upped their level as they got into their mid-thirties.

Cristiano is showing that every week, every time he plays, every time he scores so, from my point of view, that’s the aim.”

As Kane prepares to win his 99th cap for England against the Republic of Ireland, he is poised to join an exclusive club of centurions.
